MICRO-NEEDLING
Micro-needling is a minimally invasive procedure that is widely used in Europe to treat various skin conditions. Treatment targets problem areas with micro-injections of conventional or homeopathic medicines, vitamins, minerals and amino acids. Tiny “medicinal bullets” are delivered directly into the mesoderm (middle layer of the skin) that are highly specific to the condition being treated. Among its many applications, Mesotherapy is procedure that uses small needles to prick the skin. The purpose of treatment is to generate new collagen and skin tissue for smoother, firmer, more toned skin. Micro-needling is mostly used on the face and may treat various scars, wrinkles, and large pores.Active skin rejuvenation is created by using stem cells and growth factors from your own blood and micro-needling. This results in skin laxity firming, decrease in pigmentation spots, increase luster, decrease fine lines/scarring. While some results may be almost immediate, your best results usually won't be visible until four to six weeks after the procedure. Micro-needling can be safely repeated every 4-6 weeks until you achieve the desired results. For collagen induction we recommend to start with 3 treatments, but with a minimum separation time of 4 to 6 weeks between treatments. For scar reduction an average of 3 to 6 treatments are recommended.
Hyaluronic Acid Micro-Needling
Water makes up 70% of a person’s total body weight and 16% of the extracellular weight. Each day between 800-1000ml of water is lost from the skin and this amount increases markedly as we get older due to the loss and degradation of hyaluronic acid as the skin ages. Because Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is extremely hydrophilic, it can be used in its purest form to improve the hydration of the skin and has been used for this purpose for decades in cosmetic products – the problem is, the HA molecule is simply TOO large to be successfully absorbed through the skin so topical application in this way is pointless. Now we use micro-needling to apply HA through the skin.
Benefits of HA Micro-Needling include:
Improving skin hydration, radiance, tone, elasticity
Increasing skin hydration makes other HA fillers last longer
Smoothing away fine, superficial lines
Preventing formation of wrinkles
pre-treatment of skin prior to dermal filler uses to improve duration of filler product and create smoother transitions between areas of the face.
Decrease fatty mass in the dermis (cellulite)
